Every man should love cherish, care and adorn his wife. She would love that her husband’s love for her has no comparison or equal to any other female including her children. The Greek language which has no different vocabularies for love of family or others, is used in this text. For example the Greek word stourge is meant for family love; the love of the father or the mother for the children, vice versa. The word philos is meant for a friend. The word eros is meant for lovers of opposite sex. Such love often leads to lust or incest. The word philia is the actual word meant for husband and wife. The husband should not share this type of love with other female .
To those who have erred in the last Valentine’s Day should repent and henceforth practice philia . Such a practice includes provision of clothes and shoes, wrist watches and bags, less expensive necklaces and cosmetics. The husband should accept his wife as she is. He should not compare his wife with any other married lady. He should take enough time to study and know his wife’s “dos” and “don’ts.”
