COMING HOME LATE
I have not seen any married woman that wants her husband to be coming home late. Keeping late evenings puts a lot of stress on the woman. In the first case, it is a bad habit; secondly the life of the wife, children and the household is not safe. Such habit does not give enough room for fellowship, which is required of the couple. If such a habit is not checked, the children are likely to miss the paternal love and training, which is very vital for their upbringing. Almost half of a nation’s problems arise from unstable and unkept homes. Those whose work entails night period are exempted from this point. The wives know this and they are used to it. The story was told of a man who told the wife on leaving home, that he was on night duty, but was locked up in a concubine’s house whose husband have been watching for the opportunity to prove his case beyond any reasonable doubt.
EXPRESSION OF MATURITY
The wife would love her husband to express and display maturity in the home. There are times when the wife looks forward to seeing directions or necessary steps from the man on some issues at the home. What do you say of a husband, who because of any trifle matter in the home, boycotts or shuns his meals despite all persuasions from the wife? Wives love that their husbands to eat their prepared meals and even ask for more. Where is the maturity in a man, who gives his wife money for food and because of mere argument – which could be avoided refuses to eat? What do we say of a husband with children who due to unwarranted altercations in the home, refuses to tell his wife that he is traveling? He just left the house without notice. A story was told of a man who left his home without informing his wife that he was traveling outside their state – place of abode. On his way, he had an accident and was rushed to the hospital for medical attention. There is no maturity in such action. It keeps the wife unhappy, unsafe, nervous and suspicious of what people will say. All these can make her sick. The man should not by the action shorten the life span of his wife.
