                                     Joshua Osayuwamen Osagie

In last week’s post, we talked about the tongue as being a very delicate and sensitive organ and the only one of the five principal sense organs located inside the body and we highlighted the necessity of the tongue in speech control, phonetic sounds and the likes. We correlated this sensitive and delicate nature of the tongue with how words that come out from our mouth are supposed to be very carefully said either to ourselves and to others. The words that we say to ourselves or to others can either make or mar us/them. What you confess with your mouth about yourself  can become a part of you as your subconscious mind will keep reflecting on those words, psychologically you could be downcast as those negating words resonate inside of you. Little wonder the Bible says in Proverbs 18:21, “….death and life are in the power of the tongue, those who love it will eat its fruits. You are your words, chose the right words always. Edify yourself.
You have the power to make or mar yourself with your tongue. You have the power to do same to others who may not be psychologically balanced at the state of being spoken to. Let me give you a brief story that will touch you, it is a true life story that happened to a neighbor as recent as the year 2010.
A young lady born complete into this world and went through all the systems of education from kindergarten and became a Masters degree holder in Social Science and Humanities until the fateful day she committed suicide in the year 2010. What was the reason for her committing suicide? She had this challenge with height, she wasn’t so tall (though not a pygmy) and her mom was always putting her under pressure to get married and leave the house. Having had enough of the insult from home, every thing came to an end on a very fateful day when she was found hung in her bedroom ceiling fan with a note written, “I am tired of life and the insults/ frustration.”
Ladies and gentlemen, are your words edifying or encouraging to others? Do you say to yourself words that will make you downcast the more as they resonate in your subconscious mind day and night? Prop up yourself and give yourself motivation with edifying words no matter the circumstances. What do you say to others? Do you condemn a living being to death with your mouth? This is wrong! Give encouraging words to others no matter what they are and who they are and what they are passing through in life, you could be saving a soul and a generation.

THE WORDS, “YOU ARE FINISHED” AND “I AM FINISHED” AND HOW DANGEROUS THEY ARE – HIGHT POINT OF NEXT WEEK'S POST. WATCH OUT! You can share your thought with me on facebook (personal messages), twitter (personal messages), skype, phone (+2348036986103) or email (jiworldservice@gmail.com). Let’s talk.

WELCOME BACK TO ALDOUS HUXLEY’S WORDS ON MARBLE.

The instinct of acquisitiveness has more perverts, I believe, than the instinct of sex. At any rate people seem to be odder about money than about even their amours.
Aldous Huxley (1894 - 1963)
British novelist and essayist.
Point Counter Point

'To make money', said Mr. Porteous, 'one must be really interested in money.'

The quality of moral behaviour varies in inverse ratio to the number of human beings involved.
Aldous Huxley (1894 - 1963)
British novelist and essayist.
Grey Eminence: A Study in Religion and Politics

The ageing man of the middle twentieth century lives, not in the public world of atomic physics and conflicting ideologies, of welfare states and supersonic speed, but in his strictly private universe of physical weakness and mental decay.
Aldous Huxley (1894 - 1963)
British novelist and essayist.
Themes and Variations, "Variations on a Philosopher"

Official dignity tends to increase in inverse ratio to the importance of the country in which the office is held.
Aldous Huxley (1894 - 1963)

Revolution is delightful in the preliminary stages. So long as it's a question of getting rid of the people at the top.
Aldous Huxley (1894 - 1963)
British novelist and essayist.
Eyeless in Gaza

Science and art are only too often a superior kind of dope, possessing this advantage over booze and morphia: that they can be indulged in with a good conscience and with the conviction that, in the process of indulging, one is leading the 'higher life'.
Aldous Huxley (1894 - 1963)
British novelist and essayist.
Ends and Means, "Beliefs"

Science has 'explained' nothing; the more we know the more fantastic the world becomes and the profounder the surrounding darkness.
Aldous Huxley (1894 - 1963)
British novelist and essayist.
Along the Road: Notes and Essays of a Tourist, "Places: Views of Holland"
Those who believe that they are exclusively in the right are generally those who achieve something.
Aldous Huxley (1894 - 1963)
British novelist and essayist.
Proper Studies

To see ourselves as others see us is a most salutary gift. Hardly less important is the capacity to see others as they see themselves.
Attributed to Aldous Huxley (1894 - 1963)
British novelist and essayist.

'Bed,' as the Italian proverb succinctly puts it, 'is the poor man's opera.'

Silence is as full of potential wisdom and wit as the unhewn marble of great sculpture.
Aldous Huxley (1894 - 1963)

A firm conviction of the material reality of Hell never prevented medieval Christians from doing what their ambition, lust or covetousness suggested.
Aldous Huxley (1894 - 1963)

The Doors of Perception

There is no substitute for talent. Industry and all the virtues are of no avail.
Aldous Huxley (1894 - 1963)

Aldous Huxley (1894 - 1963)

A bad book is as much a labour to write as a good one; it comes as sincerely from the author's soul.
Aldous Huxley (1894 - 1963)

Point Counter Point

Most human beings have an almost infinite capacity for taking things for granted.

Knowledge is proportionate to being....You know in virtue of what you are.
Aldous Huxley (1894 - 1963)

WHO IS A MR RIGHT OR MISS RIGHT. Pt 3 With Joshua Osayuwamen Osagie
The series continues today on a very brief note. We have been able to emphasize on the reality that no one is perfect and as a result we cannot get a Mr. or Miss Perfect. However, there is this important character we need to start exhibiting, and that is tolerance as we nurture our friendship, relationship or marriage. To be a right person, you have got to be tolerant, you have to be ready to learn and teach, you have got to own up to your limitations and admit that you have them. Be ready to adapt to a new lifestyle as you eschew from things that have not been making you right. Your limitation could be that you are a very extravagant person, it could be that you are badly tempered, it could be that you are the impatient type, yours could be pride or egoism, this is just to a few flaws that we get to see day after day in relationships, friendships or marriages.

Tolerance is key to bringing about a much needed positive change in the character of a mate, it may take a short period of time, it may take a long period of time to see this change because most of the time it has to be gradual and perfect. Talk issues over, meditate on each other’s advice and your subconscious mind will begin to respond to this demand for a change resulting in a fresh adaptation from time to time.

Ladies and gentlemen, we are not done with this topic. Next week promises to be more enlightening. It’s goodbye from me. >>ORBIT FEATURE 5> MIND BLOWING INVENTION OF THE RADIO BY GUGLIELMO MARCONI (ITALIAN ELECTRICAL ENGINEER).

The Italian electrical engineer and inventor Guglielmo Marconi is generally credited with being the inventor of radio. Starting in 1895 he developed an improved coherer and connected it to a rudimentary form of antenna, with its lower end grounded. He also developed improved spark oscillators, connected to crude antennas. The transmitter was modulated with an ordinary telegraph key. The coherer at the receiver actuated a telegraphic instrument through a relay, which functioned as a crude amplifier.

In 1896 he transmitted signals for a distance exceeding 1.6 km (more than 1 mi), and applied for his first British patent. In 1897 he transmitted signals from shore to a ship at sea 29 km (18 mi) away.

In 1899 he established commercial communication between England and France that operated in all types of weather; early in 1901 he sent signals 322 km (200 mi), and later in the same year succeeded in sending a single letter across the Atlantic Ocean. In 1902 messages were regularly sent across the Atlantic, and by 1905 many ships were using radio for communications with shore stations.

For his pioneer work in the field of wireless telegraphy, Marconi shared the 1909 Nobel Prize in physics with the German physicist Karl Ferdinand Braun.
