Joshua Osayuwamen Osagie (Blogger) |
Hello
there! I believe you have been having a swell time surfing through this blog
and I will like to appreciate your time with me on this blog for personal
development, entertainment and enlightenment. Before I proceed any further, let
me summarily recap part 1 of this new series – see challenges as promoters. By
inspiration I have been able to share my thought with you in my previous post
on overcoming challenges. We were able to learn that the moment we begin to see
challenges as opportunities to exhibit our strengths, understand our
weaknesses, then the tendency to succeed can come to play even as we overcome
them and advance to greater heights.
Ladies
and gentlemen, today let me begin with the words of Winston Churchill, he said
and I quote: “One ought never to turn one’s back on a threatened danger and try
to run away from it, if you do that you will double the danger. But if you meet
it promptly and without flinching you will reduce the danger by half. Never run
away from anything. Never!” (End of quote).
Wow!
How true that is. How true. The tendency to shy away from challenges is a
recipe for more struggles in the journey to success. You don’t get to the top
rung of a ladder by just a step, it is gradual, that gradual movement may be
challenging but the beauty of it is that you will begin to see yourself
advancing with time. Bypassing the steps could be seriously detrimental. Take
for instance someone is building a house and decides to start painting the
house before installing electrical fittings; isn’t that going to be a terrible
mistake whereby he will now have to paint the walls that the fittings will
crack away? The same goes to the journey of life, challenges can not be
avoided. Avoiding challenges prevents you from learning new things, perfecting
your strengths and working on your weaknesses. Little wonder Brian Tracy said
“the tendency to follow the path of least resistance guarantees failure in
life” You have got to face challenges and learn from them to become a better
person. This is one special reason it is strongly advisable to see challenges
as promoters other than inhibitors to destiny. You are born to make it in life
only if you believe and face the reality that life without challenges is
incomplete, get your strengths working, convert your weaknesses to strengths
and see yourself overcoming and becoming better in your journey to success.
Thank
you so much for joining me in part 2 this week, see you again next week on this
platform for part 3 as I share my thought with you on landmark discoveries and
achievements that came out of great challenges. CHALLENGES ARE PROMOTERS.
TIME OUT!

Man
stands face to face with the irrational. He feels within him the longing for
happiness and for reason. The absurd is born of the confrontation between the
human need and the unreasonable silence of the world.

without money.
Albert Camus (1913 - 1960)
Algerian-born
French novelist, essayist, and dramatist.

I
proclaim that I believe in nothing and that everything is absurd, but I cannot doubt
the validity of my own proclamation and I am compelled to believe, at least, in
my own protest. The first and only datum...within absurdist experience, is
rebellion.

TRUST IN FRIENDSHIP, RELATIONSHIP OR MARRIAGE – BRIEF INTRODUCTION (Part 2 with Joshua Osayuwamen Osagie).
Starting with our previous post, we have been able to define trust in different ways and identify attributes of TRUST - reliance, faith, belief, expectation, conviction, dependence, confidence, etc.
In relationship, friendship or
marriage do we still have faith or belief
between mates? Can you vouch for your friend when it comes to a
circumstance that could be detrimental to you when you do? Do we still have
couples who trust themselves when it comes to financial issues? Is it possible
for a mate to disclose private details like a terrible weakness such that one
of them will not end up telling friends in the face of the slightest
misunderstanding? Has jealousy seriously taken its toll in relationships to the
extent that a mate could be seriously suspicious when he/she sees his/her
fiancé/fiancé with the opposite sex in a open one on one talk or chat?
Do we still have dependable wives or husbands in the face of difficulty” Can a mate easily predict his/ her mate in an expectation? Can a man/woman confidently defend his/her wife/husband probably when she is accused? Is it possible to believe a mate when it gets to financial demands? IS THE WORD SACRIFICE MET FOR A PARTICULAR GENDER OR BOTH?
These are some of the questions/
issues bordering round TRUST everyday in friendship, relationship and marriage?
This is just to raise points for our next post in this series as we conclude
this topic in full details next week. Stay connected. See you soon.
Participate in the new series. The opinion poll question is, define trust in friendship, relationship or marriage, in your own simple sentence (open throughout August).

BRIEF HISTORY OF THE DISCOVERY OF THE FIRST WEB BROWSER
Computer scientist Timothy Berners-Lee as a project within the
European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva, Switzerland.
Berners-Lee combined several existing ideas into a single system to make it
easier for physicists to use data on the Internet. Most important, he added
multimedia—the ability to include graphics—to the hyperlink concept found in a
previous Internet service known as gopher. Berners-Lee had begun working with
hypertext in the early 1980s. An early prototype implementation of the Web
became operational at CERN in 1989, and the idea quickly spread to universities
in the rest of the world.
Groups at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign researched and extended Web technology. They developed the first browser that was used at many sites, named Mosaic, in 1993. To allow the Web to be accessed from a wide variety of computer systems, researchers built multiple versions of Mosaic. Each version was designed to be used with a specific operating system, the software that controls the computer. Within a year, computer programmer Marc Andreessen had formed a commercial company, Netscape Communications Corporation, to build and sell Web technologies.
