Joshua Osayuwamen Osagie - Host Blogger |
Hello guests, again you are warmly welcome to this blog and the 61st post by and large cum the third in this series “turning your passion to purpose.” Ladies and gentlemen many people believe that figuring out their purpose is impossible as life has become so unpredictable these days. It is important we know our purpose here on earth and God is only the answer to the question: What is my purpose here on earth?
You are custom-made by God for a purpose, he has imbued you with great potentials, talents, passion to be a plus to your generation, it is your duty to discover them by seeking his face. There is no human being born worthless to his/her generation, no not one. Awesome to know I guess? Oh yes!
Here are some successful people who are living proof that your passion can be your purpose, your talent can be your purpose, your potential can be your purpose, your skills can be your purpose. Oh mine!
- Richie speaks: For me personally it was helping others succeed and in turn that made me successful.
- A cosmetics specialist speaks: I blended my love for make up with my love for entrepreneurship and created a brand that gives women the tools to succeed.
- And another: Loving what you do each day is not a fairytale, it is not out of reach and it is not a possibility for only a select few. Everyone can use their unique talents and interests to become successful content and happy – it just takes effort, persistence and sheer will-power.
- And a renowned Doctor: I got my first degree in Law and yet went back to school for anyother first degree in Medicine, my passion has always been there – saving lives.
The list can just keep going on and on actually but I just have to pause at this juncture as we shall be going deeper in this series subsequently.
Now ladies and gentlemen, there is no doubt we all are infixed with potentials and of course passion for various things. However, one fact remains – our passion should never be detrimental to us or to our world. Ensure your passion brings out the star in you that will irradiate the world around you and place you on the pedestal of greatness. God bless you and see you again with 2 great posts in the month of June on “turning your passion to purpose,” its me Joshua saying bye for now.

The people never give up their liberties but under some delusion.

There is but one law for all, namely that law which governs all law, the law of our Creator, the law of humanity, justice, equity—the law of nature and of nations.

Edmund Burke (1729 - 1797)
Irish-born British statesman and political philosopher.
Reflections on the Revolution in France
In doing good, we are generally cold, and languid, and sluggish; and of all things afraid of being too much in the right. But the works of malice and injustice are quite in another style. They are finished with a bold, masterly hand.

>>ORBIT FEATURE 4> LANDMARK DISCOVERIES: How Mathematics Started In History.
Counting was the earliest mathematical activity. Early humans needed counts to keep track of herds and for trade. Primitive counting systems almost certainly used the fingers of one or both hands, as evidenced by the predominance of the numbers 5 and 10 as the bases for most number systems today.
The first advances in arithmetic were the conceptualization of numbers and the invention of the four fundamental operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The earliest advances in geometry dealt with simple concepts such as the line and the circle. Further progress in mathematics had to await the Babylonians and Egyptians of about 2000 bc.
